On Sunday the 18th June 2017, I meet with a lovely couple, Jonathan and Anne, for their engagement shoot at Polkemmet Country Park. With the sun shining and the birds chirping we decided to make the most of what the park had to offer. It was really nice meeting the couple again. The last time I saw them both, was last year when they booked me for their wedding. We discussed some final details for their wedding in July and then headed out for the photographs. The woodland was nice and quiet, meaning we didn’t have to many interruptions from other people walking past.
At the start, there was some pre-photo nerves, which is totally understandable. This is one of the reasons why a pre-wedding/engagement photoshoot are great to do. It is a relaxed, informal way to reduce the nerves for your wedding photographs.
(check out this blog post for more reasons for a pre-wedding photoshoot).
Polkemmet is a fantastic location for an outdoor shoot as it offers a variety of backdrops. There is everything from Woodland walks, ponds, countryside, river and beautiful variety of colours the the flowers and foliage. I used a variety of backdrops for the photographs and throughout the session, nerves quickly disappeared and they both became so natural in front of the camera.
It was so lovely to see how happy and in love the Jonathan and Anne are together. I cannot wait to be part of their wedding day and photographing the two of them again.
Engagement Shoot – The Photo’s
I love this photograph as It looks like Jonathan is double checking that Anne said yes.
You have to agree, they both look so happy together, right?
If you would like to find out more or book an engagement photoshoot, please drop me a message and we can discuss it further.
Keep posted for a future blog post about their wedding day.
